Miami Heat: Season opener for LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh comes against Boston Celtics – South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com
The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics opened up the 2010-11 NBA season last night. The Miami trio of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade lost to the Boston big three 88-80. Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce thrived off of Rajon Rondo’s 17 assists. Rondo had more assists than the entire Heat team that turned the ball over at an alarming rate last night. James had 8 turnovers while Bosh and Wade combined for only 21 points. Both teams looked out of sync in their season opener but the Heat looked lost for the first three quarters. There goes the undefeated season.

The Giants constant blitzing sent Romo to the hospital and shut down the Cowboys run game. The division leading Giants are the best team in the NFC and the Cowboys look to be headed towards a disappointing season.

Report: Allen Iverson has agreement in principle with Turkish team Besiktas – ESPN
The Answer is headed to Turkey. Former NBA MVP Allen Iverson has agreed to a 2-year contract with the Turkish pro team Besiktas. The NBA will be without Iverson for the first time since 1996. In my mind, Iverson is an NBA legend and a sure fire Hall of Famer. Hopefully he finds his way back to league.

Rangers’ Molina gets a ring no matter what – MLB – Yahoo! Sports
Pretty sweet deal for Texas Rangers catcher Bengie Molina. Molina is playing his former team, the San Francisco Giants, in the World Series and will receive a championship ring no matter the outcome of the series. I have to believe it might feel a little better winning it with is current squad. Just a thought.

Most NFL Sundays end like this. The real news will be made when someone issues a questionable hit that leads to a suspension.

Steve Nash Frustrated As Phoenix Suns Enter Season With Much Uncertainty – SB Nation Arizona
Steve Nash is worried that the revamped Phoenix Suns are going to miss out on the playoffs for the second time in three seasons. Replacing Amar’e Stoudemire with Hakim Warrick and Hedo Turkoglu could have something to do with that. Warrick is a career bench player, and Turkoglu is a guy that could not handle the big money contract he got in Toronto last season.
