Rick Ross

Since Rozay’s Drive-by incident, he’s remained relatively quiet on Twitter, but we still we’ve gotten a few signs that he isn’t slowing on the music. His verse on Curren$y’s “Choosin” stood out on the track, and even Pusha says Ross is okay after checking in on him. He just may be taking more precautions and traveling a little safer since the shooting. According to TMZ, Ricky has now hired 24-hour armed guards to watch over him…

Stoudemire hurt postgame, Heat beat NY, 104-94

Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire is apologizing “to the fans and my team” for an incident after New York’s 104-94 loss to Miami in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first-round series on Monday night that left him with a cut on his left hand.

At least one of Stoudemire’s teammates says the cut is bad enough to keep him out of at least Game 3 of the series in New York on Thursday night.

Stoudemire posted a message on Twitter saying he is “so mad at myself” and that he is “not proud of my actions.”

The Knicks did not say exactly what happened, though a fire-extinguisher case near the locker room was damaged and drops of blood stained the carpet.

Deion Sanders’ estranged wife accused of assault

Police have arrested Deion Sanders’ estranged wife on an assault charge that the Hall of Fame cornerback claims was for breaking into his room and attacking him in front of their children.

Pilar (pee-lar) Sanders was arrested Monday and booked into Collin County Jail on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Jail records did not give details about the alleged attack or list an attorney for Pilar Sanders. But Deion Sanders tweeted Monday that his children “just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room.”

Prosper police declined to discuss the case Tuesday and records didn’t say if anyone else had been arrested in the alleged attack.

The former Dallas Cowboy filed for divorce in December. He now works as an analyst for the NFL Network.

Top 10 NBA Plays of the Night

January 31, 2012 Leave a comment

NBA action last night was fantastic but no play or game could match the ferocity of L.A. Clippers forward Blake Griffin when he dunked through Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins. The dunk is of course number one this countdown and sent Twitter into a frenzy last night and this morning. The best about the dunk is that Perkins is a notorious angry man on the court and looked like he just got his bike stolen from the school bully with all his friends watching. Even though the quality of the play in this lockout shortened season has left a lot to be desired these plays and that dunk all receive perfect 10s, even from the German judge.

Rapper 50 Cent’s newest work of fiction will have an anti-bullying message.

The Penguin Young Reader Group has signed up 50 Cent’s novel “Playground.” The publisher announced Monday that the book is a semi-autobiographical young adult novel about bullying that will come out in January 2012. The 34-year-old rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has acknowledged a violent childhood and dealing drugs at an early age.

He’s also released a memoir, “From Pieces to Weight,” and a self-help guide co-authored by Robert Greene called “The 50th Law.”

Winderman: Villanueva violated “keep it on the court” code | ProBasketballTalk

Kevin Garnett

What is said on the court or in the locker room, should stay there. In this article Ira Winderman from NBC Sports expresses what I have been thinking since I first read Charlie Villanueva’s whining tweet. No matter what Kevin Garnett said, Villanueva should have addressed it on the court, and not on Twitter.
